Overview
With only one goal—to study sculpture—Ethan impulsively travels to Italy. There, at the academy, he meets Gian. A figure at the center of the Second Renaissance. A heaven-sent talent. Gian Leone was a genius. "The hand you extended to me is salvation for someone who has always been alone." Ethan slowly closed his eyes. I am not your salvation. The name of that unquenchable flame burning hotly in his chest is jealousy. How can love coexist with doubt?

Memorable Quote
"Use this to stab me, please, stab me..." Gian lowered his head at these words. "No, not your hand," Ethan shook his head frantically. "The sculpture was your life. I stole your entire life. So, Gian..." He grabbed Gian's hand and brought it to his own throat, like a wounded animal offering its neck to a predator. "I'll give you my life," he whispered. "Take as much as I took from you."
